Hans B. Thorelli Award 2023


For the second year in a row, Univ.-Prof. DDr. Adamantios Diamantopoulos has been awarded with the Hans B. Thorelli Award, this time on the paper "Consumer Ethnocentrism, National Identity, and Consumer Cosmopolitanism as Drivers of Consumer Behavior: A Social Identity Theory Perspective".

The Journal of International Marketing awards the author(s) of an article published at least five years ago that has subsequently made a significant contribution to the theory or practice of international marketing.

For more than four decades, Professor Diamantopoulos has contributed to the field of global marketing, with research ranging from export strategy to methodological contributions. Moreover, he is the leading scholar for Country-of-Origin research and has been cited over 50,000 times in Google Scholar.

The award will be presented at the 2023 AMA Summer Academic Conference in San Francisco, USA.
